I’ve heard people say, “You’re projecting your own feelings on animals by thinking they experience the same emotions as you.” But how can you deny the intensity of a mother’s love? She had a whole litter to care for but she was frantic because one was badly hurt.

She knew she needed a human’s help but wasn’t sure who to trust, and you could feel her nervously assessing the Animal Aid volunteer, like, “Can I trust you? Are you really here to help us?” It was so beautiful it broke my heart. A mother’s love has no equal.

Guys, you are wonderful! I get very emotional with your examples of love for animals and my heart was filled with hope in the face of so much lack of love between humans and the perversities caused by so many! I just have gratitude to God that there are people in the world like you! Thank you for everything! Receive my hug of gratitude for your love of animals!
