Hyena vs Baby Wildebeest. Hoping For An Easy Meal.

The hyena (spelled “hyaena” in some parts of the world) is Africa’s most common large carnivore. There are three hyena species — spotted, brown, and striped. Spotted hyenas are the largest of the three. They are fairly large in build and have relatively short torsos with lower hindquarters, and sloping backs. They have excellent night-time vision and hearing.

For the record, you can check BBC archives, 20 years ago, Jennifer Paterson claimed she witnessed “wildebeesties” giving birth and within minutes, up the babies go and run away, and everyone laughed at her. She was right. Sir David tells and shows as much right here. Jennifer didn’t lie. She was worldly. Please show some consideration for her later life. Whatever she was, she was true and real. Cheers.

Wow great vid. I once saw a fawn actually learn how to walk right in the custody of a leopard!😲 It’s mother had to run for her life just after giving birth and left the newborn behind and into the hands of a leopard! It didn’t kill it right away obviously and it learned to right there and almost escaped! It was one of the most fascinating wild life captures I’ve ever witnessed!
