Many parents find it difficult to uphold order in their homes. A massive 1400 kg Kodiak brown bear, Jim and Susan Kowalczik’s greatest threat, weighs in at 1400 lbs. The couple has devoted their life to saving and releasing damaged animals, and they care for the 9-foot behemoth at their orphanage. On their 100-acre estate in Otisville, New York, they currently take care of 11 bears, including Kodiak brown bears, Syrian bears, and black bears. Most were saved as cubs from breeding programs or abandoned nature areas.
