The most impressive thing about all this is that this animal absolutely doesn’t give a shit about his speed or our admiration. He just flies, hunts, dives, kills, without even knowing how much it fascinates us. They’re so fast that in 1999, the fastest motorcycle in the world was named the Hayabusa (meaning Peregrine falcon in Japanese). It was designed to overtake the fastest bike in the world at the time, the Honda Blackbird. The blackbird is one of the peregrine falcon’s most common prey.
