Tuesday, August 18, forest officials said that a leopard had picked a farmer’s home in a rural village in India’s western Nashik region to give birth to four pups.
The four cubs were seen meowing and pawing around in the tiny home next to their mother on Wednesday, August 19, according to handout video given by the Maharashtra Forest Department.
The villagers have voiced worries about the new visitors to the hut and have requested that the forest department remove them, according to forest officers who spoke to the local media. The cubs cannot be taken away since they are still infants, according to one official.
