A second eagle egg hatches in Hanover, Pa.

Imaging the perspective of the hatchling after they break out of their shell and witness this giant bird staring down at them with nothing but the care of protection in its mind seems incredible.

Spectacular images of a magnificent animal. Great to see how even a bird like that can recognize an infant and understand that it needs care and such. Sure we say of course they do, but then we forget how intellegent animals really are when its convenient (to assuage ourselves). Loved watching them go through the process of switching places, relief arrived and Mom can take a much needed break.
