Giant Bat Captured. A gargantuan bat appears to have been caught by military personnel in the Philippines. If real, this is probably some species of megabat, referred to as a flying fox. These bats can have wingspans close to 6 feet wide.
What an incredible Flying Fox bat. As you said, it is a shame to see them killed and stretched out like that. They are national treasures!
