Intense fight between zebra and lioness

Most of the comments are suggesting that this was a young lioness, and that was probably the reason why she didn’t subdue the zebra, but I’ll beg to differ. That was a seasoned and experienced lioness attacking a male zebra. Male zebras are very strong and hard to take down. They are also experienced fighters due to normal territorial battles with other male zebras.

It is usually the sick, injured, young, old, and female zebras we are bombarding with videos of getting eaten by lions until we know otherwise. A pride of lions, obviously, can easily overpower a zebra, which is the subject of many of the videos we show for entertainment purposes. But a healthy, young, and fit zebra in its prime is very formidable, even to a mighty lion. Some of you may be aware that a lion’s successful hunt ratio in the wild is one in ten. The other 7 times they are attempting a hunt and are either getting injured, outsmarted, or outpaced by their prey. Lastly, those other 7 times are either not being filmed, videos didn’t make the cut, or they are deemed unfit for educational purposes and human consumption.
