My heart plummeted when I saw the talons land. It played out like a horror movie. That one chick, if it survives, will never be the same. Even though it was still eating when Mom returned, it looked terrified beyond belief. RIP to the sibling that died. Unfortunately, it was eaten alive so slowly. Sure, it’s nature, but being a bird is difficult, eh?Everything wants to eat you, even your own species.
Undoubtedly, they smartly captured this video, full of sad and emotional scenes. I and my family members cried almost each time we watched this video. Although we can see the brutality of a hawk, there is also the full love of a mother for her handicapped child. I don’t see the other bird that was earlier in the nest. Can anyone solve this problem for me?
That’s no eagle, that’s a hawk. It’s sad that that happened, but people need to remember that’s nature and everything has to have SOMETHING to eat, even if another life has to be taken… You know, the hawk may have a nest of its own with mouths to feed. Nature will be nature whether there is a camera or not.
