Cute Sumatran Tiger Cubs at Oklahoma City Zoo Get First Exam

The Oklahoma City Zoo recently conducted the first medical examination of two Sumatran tiger cubs. The adorable cubs, born on July 8, 2020, were examined by the zoo’s veterinary team to ensure their health and well-being. The examination included a physical checkup, vaccinations, and microchipping. The Sumatran tiger is a critically endangered species, with only an estimated 400-500 individuals remaining in the wild. The Oklahoma City Zoo is proud to be a part of the Species Survival Plan, which aims to increase the population of Sumatran tigers through breeding and conservation efforts.
