Participating in the war for domination of the elephants
An infected elephant tried to give a young pretender a good hit — by throwing him off balance with his trunk.
A younger male challenged the older bull to gain dominance in the Amboseli National Park in Kenya.
But despite the lack of ivory in previous battles, the veteran used his experience to win the swamp battlefield.
The encounter was photographed by Nomadic by Nature, a 35-year-old photographer and owner of the travel website, Mike McCaffrey.
