While still learning to walk, a newborn giraffe must fight for its life from a hungry lioness with only the protection of its mother! The giraffe escapes the lioness, but the ending is something you’d never expect!
I wished she had survived, but her drowning was more comforting than her being ripped apart by the lion. The lion was just trying to feed, but it’s so sad that mother animals can’t really protect their young. I’ve seen herds of elephants surround a baby in the herd, but the other giraffes hightailed it and left the mother alone to fend for her little one.
Absolute gut wrenching! So much suffering in such a short life. A valiant effort to live. I wish it would have succeeded.
