A bunch of kids spotted a hurt dog on the side of the road and dialed 911, sparing the critter’s life! When Russ Harper, a humane police officer with Justice Rescue, arrived to pick up the baby Pit Bull, he discovered it cold and lifeless. He paid him less when he picked him up.
Harper assumed the dog was d.ead until he spotted a flicker of life. Remi, who had previously been employed as a bait dog by dog fighters, has bite marks from his previous work as a bait dog. Harper brought the dog to Havertown’s Keystone Veterinary Emergency Clinic.
The Pit Bull is fighting a serious infection and is showing signs of improvement, but he is not yet fully recovered. The vet clinic keeps an eye on Remi throughout the clock. “He’s still battling,” Justice Rescue writes. “However, I believe we can see that his mommy nurses are taking excellent care of this global hero.”
Meanwhile, Justice Rescue is offering a $1,000 reward for anyone who can help Remi. Anyone with knowledge can email abuse@justice-rescue.com or phone 215-942-6363 to report it anonymously.
I’m hoping Remi will make it! Also, a big “thank you” to the kids that dialed 911 to save this un.for.tunate puppy!
