A coalition of young male lions managed to make their first in Masai Mara but were unable to suffocate it first due to lack of experience. The buffalo was henceforth eaten alive.
A fully grown male lion, using his strength and experience, can a buffalo like that on his own. If these adolescents can survive another couple of years, they are going to be terrifyingly good hunters. Things are always clumsy when you do something for the first few times until you get the hang of it, Nonetheless, I am sure this group will be formidable in a year or two.
Do we know which pride these sub-adults belong to? Are they the Kambula youngsters? The wild can be harsh but survival is necessary. This can be a very formidable future coalition. I hope that they all survive and wishing them great success.
