The sight of a giant bird hunting a ‘shark’, hovering in the middle of the sea is amazing

The animal looks like a “flying” shark dangling in the sky under the sharp claws of the giant bird, causing many people to exclaim in amazement.

A video of a giant bird carrying an animal believed to be a shark, flying on a hotel beach in South Carolina (USA) has caused a storm on social networks with more than 30 million views.

Reportedly, this moment was shared by a shark news site called Tracking Shark. Along with the video, this news site posted a forum to ask netizens to identify the “identity” of the two main characters in the story:  “Does anyone know what kind of bird this is and is it holding a shark? “.

The scene of a giant bird following its prey with a shape that many people think is a shark.

The dramatic sight of a large raptor soaring over a crowded beach, nestled in its claws as pitiful helpless prey has attracted a lot of comments.

“Nature is crazy.”

“I shivered when I saw this scene. The fish must have been very confused when it suddenly flew into the sky like that.”

“Even in my dreams, the fish never thought it could fly in the sky.”

The animal hovered over people’s heads below the beach before grabbing its prey and disappearing into the air.

Besides the comments expressing surprise at this rare scene, there are many people arguing and trying to guess what the two animals are.

After all the debate, Tracking Shark finally got information and confirmed that the bird was identified as a falcon. And it did not catch a single shark, instead the “victim” was identified as a Spanish mackerel.

It is a migratory species of mackerel that swims to the northern Gulf of Mexico in the spring, back to South Florida in the Eastern Gulf, and to Mexico in the West Gulf in the fall. It can weigh up to 3.2 kg at its largest, which may be the reason why it is mistaken for a small shark.
