This is a picture of my adult Tarantula, who is a female, Acanthoscurria geniculata is the scientific name for the Brazilian whiteknee tarantula, also known as the Whitebanded Tarantula, This one was quite large, so I fed her with a mouse.
The rat had no hope of surviving since she struck so quickly, You can see how this Tarantula catches a mouse and then what it looks like when she eats it in this video, It took over 33 hours to consume the entire rat.
