In once-in-a-lifetime photos, a crow rides on the back of an eagle in mid-flight.

Phoo Chan is a skilled bird photographer with a proven track record; this is one of his once-in-a-lifetime sequence of shots.

A crow riding on the back of a bald eagle in mid-flight may be seen in the video below.

“When other raptors much greater in size are sighted in their territory, crows are known for furiously pestering them,” the California-based photographer observes, “and generally these’intruders’ quietly withdraw without any fuss.”

“However, in this frame, the crow did not appear to worry the bald eagle, and the bald eagle did not appear to resent the crow infringing on its personal space.”

“What was more weirder was that the crow even came to a halt on the eagle’s back, as if it were on a free scenic tour, which the eagle eagerly welcomed.”
