An Elephant Entrapped in well with mud

This elephant Was Entrapped in this mud well in moragahakanda area,this incident was reported to the wildlife officers by the villagers. A team of wildlife officers visited the place where the Elephant was trapped and they rescued him.

I think the reason the elephant didn’t walk up the path was because of the elephant captures happening around that area for Thailand tourism. They use thick ropes similar to those used here and other elephants to capture wild free roaming elephants. Elephants having immense brains that never forget, remember seeing some of its herd being captured. It’s traumatizing, to the point where even the workers would quit and stop trying to capture them. After capture they go through phajaan/crushing, which is breaking the animals spirit and accept humans as it master.
