Injured Baby elephant !

This baby elephant was hit by a lorry in the Habarana area. Despite the attempts made by wildlife officers to rescue this animal , it died due to severe injuries. I am shocked by this video. Not only should the lorry driver be penalised for hitting the elephant, as he must have been going too fast, you cannot say he did not see the elephant. But these men are not exactly helping; they are only making matters worse. The poor animal must have been in excruciating pain and all they did was to push and pull her. They did not even try to get a vet. I do not believe that they were wildlife officers as they did not have a clue how to help. Simply too sad.
