Donald the duckling was born with four legs, but he’s expected to live a normal ducky life on a farm in Sulphur, Louisiana. His owner tells CNN affiliate KPLC, “I’ve never seen this before. I’ve never seen anything remotely close to this. I’ve had animals my entire life, and I’ve never had anything like this.”
The story on the Ugly Duckling isn’t ugly at all. I think it’s wonderful and it just goes to show birth defect or not, this little guy is determined to be a survivor. It also shows that he could be the first of many who are evolving and adapting to the changing environment. We may see many more ducklings born with four legs and living successfully on a regular basis soon.
