Red Bishop – Filmed by Greg Morgan

Breeding male southern red bishops (Euplectes orix) have eclipse plumage, which is colored differently during the breeding season. Breeding males have incredibly vivid coloring, including red to orange upperparts, brownish wings, and a tail that is also brown. His black chest and belly contrast with the scarlet to orange coloration of his upper chest and undertail coverts. His crimson hair and black mask-like face complete his appearance.
