Lions Catch Giraffe by Surprise

What a sighting! Sometimes luck is on your side (Charles Botts/lions) and sometimes it is not (the giraffe), but either way nature will be.

This was filmed on safari by Charles Botts in the Kruger National Park, South Africa.

Literally the moment the Lions make contact with the Giraffe the camera person decides now would be a good time to see what colour the clouds are. Excellent camera work, well done.

If the adult zebras just charged the lions they could have easily saved their cub. Two lionesses are no match for two adult zebras. I’ve seen videos of one adult zebra fight off an entire pride of lions to save their cub. Not these two, they’re too s.ca.red!
