Monitor Lizard vs Python
It is not often you see the reptiles going at each other! This was a c.ra.zy sighting close to the Kunene Ruver in Namibia, where a Monitor Lizard got the best of a good sized African Rock Python.
That was a Ornate monitor I believe , according to the design and detail of the scales it is definitely a Ornate no d.oubt . I thought they only lived as far south as Angola.
There are lots of comments about this being a small python and whilst it was no monster it was at least 1.6m long so not THAT small. We shot this video.
